According to Bruce Urquhart , The Woodstock Sentinel-Review, 27 April 2007, Oxford County might soon have a flag.

The other question posed by councillors concerned the proposed design of the flag, which consists of the "Oxford County, grower stronger … together" logo between diagonal swaths of green and blue. Couns. Pat Sobeski and Stephen Molnar were underwhelmed by the design, which was essentially an extension of the county’s visual identity policy.
"It’s the first time I’ve seen a flag that’s predominantly words instead of a … symbol," Sobeski said.
Lynn Buchner, the county’s director of corporate services, said the proposed design was intended "to capture the county brand," a process that began in 2003 and resulted in Oxford’s current logo and slogan.
One of the consultants involved in this branding exercise assisted the county on the flag design, eventually presenting a series of possible designs.
"We did look at a couple of options," Buchner said. "This is the one we found most appealing."
Whiteford, though, said these other options were essentially variations on the same theme, adding there wasn’t much difference between the proposal and the other possibilities. Molnar, while voicing his support for strengthening the Oxford brand with a flag, wondered if councillors might be presented with another choice.
"Personally, I’m not impressed with that flag at all," the Tillsonburg councillor said. "When I opened the page, it didn’t jump out at me -- it lacked a ‘wow’ factor.
"If the magic flag appears in two weeks, I’ll be very happy to support it."
The logo of Oxford County is shown on the top of the frontpage of the
County website.
