Coat of arms of the Region of Gomel is gold shield with Mogilyov`s-Brotherly icon of the Mother of God on azure oval. In the bottom part of a shield there are three green hills. On three hills three red ears with gold stalks. The shield is surrounded with a wreath from gold oak leaves and gold laurel leaves, tied up azure St.Andrews Order ribbon (a ribbon of the Order of the St.Apostle Andreas Firstcalled).

[This Order existed in Russian Empire and was the most supreme Order. Such azure St.Andrews Order ribbon was in the coat of arms of governments in Russian Empire]
