Description and meaning of the flag

According to an unsigned e-mail from the Rectorat de l’Université d’Ouagadougou, the university flag consists of the University Arms as found on their web site on a dark blue field.

The ring around the shield is a ribbon of the national colors, complete with the star at top and bottom.
